Prophecy:
Isaiah 53:12 Therefore will I
divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the
strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered
with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession
for the transgressors.
Fulfillment:
Matthew 27:3 Then Judas, which
had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself,
and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
Luke 23:32 And there were also
two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death.
DEATH
MADE ATONEMENT FOR SIN
Prophecy:
Isaiah 53:5-7, 12 But he
was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the
chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All
we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the
Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was
afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the
slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his
mouth. . . Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall

Fulfillment:
Mark 10:45 For even the Son of
man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a
ransom for many.
John 1:29 The next day John
seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh
away the sin of the world.
John 3:16 For God so loved the
world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Acts 8:30-35 And Philip ran
thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest
thou what thou readest? And he said, How can I, except some man should guide
me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.The place of
the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter;
and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: In his
humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation?
for his life is taken from the earth. And the eunuch answered Philip, and said,
I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other
man? Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached
unto him Jesus.
BURIED
WITH RICH MEN
Prophecy:
Isaiah 53:9 And he made his
grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had
done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
Fulfillment:
Matthew 27:57-60 When the even
was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also
himself was Jesus' disciple: He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.
Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered. And when Joseph had taken the
body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, And laid it in his own new tomb,
which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of
the sepulchre, and departed.
RESURRECTION
FROM DEATH
Prophecy:
Isaiah 53:9-10 And he made his
grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no
violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. Yet it pleased the Lord to
bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering
for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure
of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
Psalm 16:10 For thou wilt not
leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see
corruption.
Fulfillment:
Matthew 28:1-20 In the end of
the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary
Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a
great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and
rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like
lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did
shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women,
Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not
here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord
lay. And go quickly, and tell his
disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before
you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. And they
departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to
bring his disciples word. And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus
met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and
worshipped him. Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren
that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me. Now when they were
going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief
priests all the things that were done. And when they were assembled with the
elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, Saying,
Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept. And if
this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you. So they
took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly
reported among the Jews until this day. Then the eleven disciples went away
into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw
him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. And Jesus came and spake unto them,
saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and
teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have
commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

Acts 2:23-36 Him, being
delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken,
and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: Whom God hath raised up,
having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be
holden of it. For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always
before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh
shall rest in hope: Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither
wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Thou hast made known to
me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance. Men
and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is
both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. Therefore,
being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of
the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ
to sit on his throne; He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of
Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see
corruption. This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are
witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having
received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this,
which ye now see and hear. For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he
saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, Until I
make thy foes thy footstool. Therefore, let all the house of Israel know
assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord
and
Acts 13:33-37 God hath
fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus
again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day
have I begotten thee. And as concerning
that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to
corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.
Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy
One to see corruption. For David, after he had served his own generation by
the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw
corruption: But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.
1 Corinthians 15:4-6 And that
he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the
scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that,
he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part
remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
ASCENSION
Prophecy:
Psalm 16:11 Thou wilt shew me
the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right
hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Psalm 68:18 Thou hast
ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts
for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the Lord God might dwell among
them.
Psalm 110:1 The Lord said unto
my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy
footstool.
Fulfillment:
Luke 24:51 And it came to
pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into
heaven.
Acts 1:9-11 And when he had
spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received
him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he
went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye
men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken
up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him
go into heaven.
Acts 7:55 But he (Stephen), being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up
steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the
right hand of God,
Hebrews 1:3 Who being the
brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all
things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat
down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.
